A win tonight will not only give the Vipers the Golden Ticket to the RBC Cup in Dauphin, it will also mark the last home game for the season! Wowsers!! I hope that the city of Vernon can show up and cheer these boys on! They have had such a great year they need a full house...and this could be the last game for Viper fan favorites...Kellen and Connor Jones, Rob Short, Braden Pimm, Dan Nycholat, Jonathan Milhouse, Graeme Gordon, Mike Collins and the Captain Kevin Kraus! All Viper fans get together and get people to this very important game and cheer loud and proud, the Vipers do so much for the city, not only giving us great entertainment all winter...they give so much back as well and anything under 3000 fans would be disappointing!!

Game 2 and 3 In The Books!

The Vipers are currently behind for the first time in the playoffs, losing game 2 and 3 to Powell River. The Vipers keep battling, but the Kings keep stopping them dead in their tracks. Backed with a hot goaltender the Kings came to the BCHL finals after coming from a 3-1 deficit in the Coastal Conference Finals against Alberni Valley and now are ahead 2-1 in the BCHL Finals.

The Vipers will look to tie the series tonight in Powell River and then grab the lead again in game 5 in Vernon. Tickets are on sale now at the Vipers office and hope to see a sold out arena.

"I said it before and I will say it again" marketing manager Heidi Schrader said, "this team deserves a sold out arena. They've had an amazing year so far and Vernon should be more then proud to come and cheer them on. These boys work hard everyday and fans should support them no matter what."

Game 1 In The Books

The Vernon Vipers and Powell River Kings took the ice for game one of the BCHL Fred Page Cup Championship Finals on Friday night and it was a close battle between two very strong teams that saw the Vipers win 2-1. The Vipers got on the score board first at the 12:49 mark in the first period thanks to a power play goal by Kellen Jones. In the second period there would be no points added to the score board for either team and it would be until the late in the third that Connor Jones would put the Vipers up 2-0. It was a short lived 2 goal lead as Powell River would come within one not even two minutes later. The close fought game was battled right to the end with Powell River pulling their goalie for an extra attacker but Graeme Gordon was strong in net for the Vipers and the Snakes were able to take the first game 2-1.

Game 2 goes Saturday night...same time same place and it should be another nail bitter with two teams stacked defensively and offensively.

Vipers fans be sure to grab your hats, tatoo your faces, paint your signs and get into playoff mode as your 5 Time National Champions are now In The Mix For Six!
Ticket are on sale now at the Vipers Box Office!
