Family Sunday Game!!!!!

WOW!! One more home game left this season! There is so much to tell you as well...playoff tickets are on sale...next years season tickets are on sale...there is a fan bus going to Penticton Saturday...and Sunday is our last game before playoffs AND it's Fan Appreciation Night and Family Night...so there is a TON of prizes to give away and there is a FREE skate after the game and a chance to get autographs from all the Vipers!

Good news to report as well...the players are starting to feel a bit better! With a flu bug that hit the dressing room a lot of the player had really bad colds but things are looking up! The Vipers have 3 games left to play...Friday in Westside, Saturday in Penticton and the final Sunday game...it's actually the only and last game in the BCHL. The Snakes are looking to win them all and finish first in the league, but no matter what playoffs start on March 6th and 7th for the Vipers.

Tickets are selling fast for Sunday's game, I have high hopes that we sell out and show the Vipers how much we support them and appreciate them giving us an awesome season so far! When the game is over the players will be giving up their 3rd jerseys to all the successful bidders and let the playoffs begin!!!!

53 Down 7 To Go

Well the Vipers played 2 games this weekend...Trail on Friday and Westside on Saturday and took the win in Trail but a loss on Saturday. The Vipers will head to Merritt for one final visit this year on Tuesday night, then back all the way up to Trail on Friday night before playing at home on Saturday against the Penticton Vees!!! It is Valentines Days so bring your dates and cheer on the Snakes! Two things for you this week...make your bids for the Vipers 3rd Jersey Auction, the highest bidder will get the jersey on fan appreciation night...right off the players back and he will sign it right there for you!!! Second make your selection on who your favorite player is on my blog!

Also it was great to see so many people at the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade! And so many Vipers fans saying hi to me!! It was great to see all of you and on Saturday we will have the brand new Queen Silver Star here to drop the puck! Can't wait! We also have one more spot to fill for the Burger Kings 7th Man Of The Game! First Place Feels Great!

Hey Viper Fans!!! What an awesome weekend!! Two big wins and now the Vipers are three points ahead sitting in first place in the league. But the Vipers still have a lot of work to do to stay in first place! They are back in Trail again this Friday then a game in Westside on Saturday...there is a fan bus going on Saturday and a few seats are still open! Next home game is next Saturday on February 14th against Prince George...the Spruce Kings have given the Vipers a run for their money all year so you never know whats going to happen in that game! Do you have your tickets yet for the 14th....if not you best get them! We only have 3 more home game left in the regular season and we want to go out with a bang and pack this pit three more times! If you were here on Saturday when we hosted the Silverbacks then you would know how awesome it is to have this place full!! The guys are keeping busy as well, they have had some hard practices and this Sunday they will be at Polson Park at the hockey dome so we hope to see you there and a big congrats to the family that won the Backyard Rink Contest sponsored by The Home Depot...next year the contest will run again so build a rink and maybe the Vipers will be skating in your backyard! Grab your noise makers, paint your face, make some signs...what ever you do just get to the game this Saturday night! It is going to be a good one! With first place on the line the Vipers will host the Silverbacks and you know both teams want this win...but who wants in more!!!! Seats are selling fast but there are still seats left and I know you don't want to be the only one who didn't see the game!!! Our Vipers head to Trail on Friday night and the Silverbacks have Friday night off so you know the Backs will be well rested and Vernon will have to try to get a few hours of sleep in on their big bus trip home! Can you believe there are only 4 more home games left in the regular season!! Then it's playoff time!! EXCITING!!! All Star Game was awesome!! I got to play some soccer-hockey at the start of the game with some of my friend. Grizz from Victoria, The General from Westside and Kong from Salmon Arm! We were all hanging out on Wednesday night because of the BCHL All Star Game! The best of the best in the BCHL came out to showcase their talent it what turned out to be a very lop-sided game, Interior losing 13-5 and in the intermissions a great show for the fans as the teams picked some players to compete in the skills competition...WOW are these guys good! My favorite was seeing Langley's Derek Grant show off some amazing moves, and he won crowd favorite for best move...he spun, he twisted and he even went backwards through his legs...all amazing. A lot of the players were telling me they were having a blast and that they were all honored to be in Vernon at the All Star Game.

Now the Vipers get back to regular action as they face the Nanaimo Clippers on Friday night...I am still waiting to see a full house so tell every one you know and cheer on your favorite team in the league...THE VERNON VIPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Back!

I know it has been awhile since my last post, I guess I ate too much over the holidays and now I catch my self behind all the time! The Vipers are back at it in 2009 playing some great hockey and keeping all their fans entertained! A lot of fans took advantage of some international hockey this past Sunday! Team Sweden was in Vernon for a Sunday afternoon game and it was so great to see them come in for a game. The Vipers gave all the players on Team Sweden a gift to thank them for coming and to have a momentum of their time here in Vernon. Also a very cool plaque was given to the team manager with a nice picture of Kal Lake and the Vipers puck, thanks Pic Plaques for that!! So now is the crazy time of year as trade deadline come close, some teams look to make a few moves to get them closer to the RBC and some teams look to better themselves for next year. Either way it leave players from all teams a little uneasy as you never know who may go! No word yet in the Vipers Office if there will be any moves but I will try to keep you posted. Next up is a home game against Merritt on Friday. Even though Merritt isn't at the top of the standings it will be a good game to see as every team now is not only fighting to either stay on their team or get traded to another team...it is a battle to get points and finish the regular season in a playoff spot! Merritt's top defenceman is their goalie and sometimes that's all you need to get you a win. In fact Harrison May is one of the three goalies that will be playing for the Interior All Star team on January 14th right here in Vernon. This is a great chance for fans to see some unbelievable talent as well as potential NHL stars of tomorrow! I know there are tickets available so go get them!!! You will also see me there along side all my buddies from around the league...each team will be inviting their mascots to the All Star event so I am very excited to see them!!
